Parent Zone

Welcome to the Careers & Enterprise Parent Zone!
Did you know your child has a dedicated Careers & Enterprise Zone in School just for them? Why not ask them if they’ve visited it yet and what they’ve researched there? If they’ve yet to visit it, please encourage them to do so and ask them to feed back to you their findings!
Did you know your child has access to Unifrog? This is BHCS' preferred careers platform. In addition to guided lessons as part of our careers programme, students can also login at any time and complete tasks independently. You can find out more about 'Unifrog' by watching this video.
Changes to Unifrog GDPR rules now require student's consent for their parent/guardian to be able to have oversight of their child's Unifrog activity. This consent form has been made available to all students to complete. We will also remind students to complete the form during their Unifrog blended learning sessions across the year. Feel free to sit with your child and encourage them to give consent, using the form provided!

LMI is information about the world of work. It includes information such as descriptions of jobs, the skills and qualifications needed for particular jobs and average salaries. LMI also looks at trends in the labour market in terms of which sectors and industries are in demand, which are in decline and which are expected to grow in future.
Labour market information is important as it tells you;
- What jobs and skills employers are looking for
- Which industries have vacancies and where they are
- What education and training you need for a specific job
- Which job areas are growing in the future, which are in decline and other statistics in their career choices and decisions.
