New Management Information System - Bromcom

Dear Parent/Carer,

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable feedback throughout the year via our parental surveys. Your insights and suggestions are instrumental in our ongoing journey of school improvement.

Following our OFSTED inspection in April 2022, where we were proud to achieve three outstanding judgements and one good, we have remained firmly focused on building upon those high standards. The work since has been driven by our ambition to reach even greater heights, ensuring that every aspect of our provision continues to evolve in the best interests of our students and community.

Your feedback plays a crucial role in informing the decisions we make, and we are committed to using this information to enhance our school's performance and the educational experience of our students and you, their parents/carers.

In line with this commitment to continuous improvement, we are excited to announce that we will be transitioning to a new Management Information System (MIS) called Bromcom, effective from July 7th. An MIS is a comprehensive system used to manage and analyse data within an organisation—in this case, our school. This new system will bring several key advantages, including but not limited to:

  • Improved communication between parents, teachers, and students

  • Enhanced tracking of student progress and performance

  • Streamlined administrative processes

  • Better data security and privacy

  • More efficient handling of attendance and behaviour records

We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth rollout of Bromcom in the first instance. This will be followed by a phased introduction of modules and sub-modules across the next academic year 2025/26, with a particular focus on supporting parents to understand and make the most of tools such as My Child at School (MCAS). Parents will not need to take any action on receipt of this letter and should not notice any changes in the school’s current operational processes for the remainder of this academic year. Our primary focus is on ensuring a seamless transition, before gradually introducing new functionality that supports the school’s continued progress.

We recognise that any project of this scale, which impacts whole-school operations, presents challenges. We kindly ask for your patience should there be any unexpected interruptions to our usual operations. Rest assured, we are taking all necessary steps to minimise any disruptions and ensure a smooth and positive transition.

Thank you once again for your continued support and understanding.

Yours sincerely

Mr D Watkins
