Post Result Information - 2026

Brighton Hill Community School will subsidise the fee charged by the awarding bodies for exam scripts highlighted for a ‘Review of Marking’ if the following criteria is met:

Core subjects (Mathematics, English Language & Literature and Combined & Separate Science):

Grades 3, 4 and 6 will be determined, based on the criteria decided on results day - paper allocation will be selected by Head of Faculty.

  • All additional grades will be subject to an appropriate fee payment from the candidate if a review of marking is requested.

Non – Core subjects:

1 mark away from the next grade in accordance with the 2026 grade boundary document for grades 3, 4 and 6 - paper allocation selected by the Head of Faculty.

  • All additional grades will be subject to an appropriate fee payment from the candidate if a review of marking is requested. All requests must be made by email to mharding@bhcs.sfet.org.uk and must include all relevant consent forms along with paper allocation chosen for review. Payments to be made directly to the Finance department.

Please remember:

  • The decision to apply for post results services should not be done lightly; you must be aware that if you request a review of marking, your results can move up or down, we cannot predict or presume a likely outcome and once this has been done there are very limited options for recourse.
  • All post results services must be requested by the exams department and requests to exam boards cannot be made by students or parents.
  • Please send completed consent forms, after results day (these can be found on the school website and will also be sent out prior to results day), to mharding@bhcs.sfet.org.uk.
  • Fees are charge on an individual exam basis and not on a subject basis, for example, if you sat two exams per subject, there is a charge for each exam paper requested.
  • Please do check the 2026 grade boundaries before making a request for a review. These can be found on each exam board website.
  • Any fees pay will be refunded if there is an uplift in the grade.
  • Please note that for ‘Reviews of Marking’ reviewers will not re-mark the script, they will only act to correct any errors identified in the original mark.
