Deep Learning Day - how parents can support!

This week, we had our last Deep Learning Day (DLD) of the year. These are days when students are off timetable engaging in a range of personal development session which help to reinforce key themes from the My World and RS tutor programme. This week, they focused on how students can keep themselves safe and happy and grow into well-rounded young adults, ready for whatever life throws at them!

Although DLD isn't the only time students learn about these key themes, and they are regularly give information and advice on how they can keep themselves safe, it's important for you as parents/carers to understand how you can support at home too. Therefore, below are some useful links that you can use to inform conversations you have with your child about the important topics they covered throughout the day.

The first of these is a general link giving you, as parents/carers, advice on how to discuss difficult topics with your children: NSPCC - How to talk to children about difficult topics
